HMS Forward receive freedom of the City of Wolverhampton

HMS Forward will be receiving the freedom of the city of Wolverhampton. The Freedom of the City is an honour reserved for military units, and as such, the Ship’s Company of Birmingham’s Royal Naval Reserve Unit will be parading the Queen’s Colour through the streets of Wolverhampton. The event will also feature a Guard and the Band of the Royal Marines.

Silver Employer Recognition Scheme Awards

West Midland RFCA will be holding its Silver Employer Recognition Scheme Awards ceremony again at the National Memorial Arboretum. Attendance at the event will be by invitation only, but we do hold a a memorial service at the Armed Forces Memorial after our luncheon which anyone is welcome to join. Birmingham Poppy Day

Birmingham city centre will mark the launch of this year's Poppy Appeal with a special Poppy Day on the 5th November.
