A busy start to the summer

June was a busy month for the Regiment, kicked off with numerous recruiting and engagement events, including Redditch Pride event and the D-Day 80th commemorations. With events taking place across the UK and France to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day, Regimental Head Quarters and the Support Squadron personnel played a part in supporting Redditch council and the Royal British Legion to mark the occasion by raising the flag at the council buildings and laying wreaths at two War Memorials in the Redditch area.

Mid-June welcomed the Royal Three Counties Show in Malvern. The Regiment coordinated the Military Stand at the Show, that had 90,000 visitors over the 3 days including 3,500 school children for STEM activities on the Friday and 800 scouts and guides over the weekend. An excellent event for engagement in the Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Midlands region, as well as supporting wider recruiting for the Reserves and Regular Army.
